Hi, how are you guyz installing the 2.5inch drives, need adaptor to screw in ? i cant remember, im running a Western Digital 500gb black 32mb, i had it doing noting, and also with current prices not great time to buy, it is abit loud as i have timeshift on always, thinking of getting a 1tb green 5400rpm 3.5inch, or a 500gb 2.5inch drive,

    Thanks

Will a 2.5inch drive fit properly in the Vu+duo or would you need a holder?

You will need convertors of some sort to get the 2.5 fit, the cradle is for 3.5 drives.

Hi, yes 2.5 will fit , the vu plate has holes that align perfect to 2.5 inch drive underneath holes and can also use rubber mounts, but supplied screws are to big to fit into 2.5 inch, if get right screw size it will fit perfect, i just used 2 cable ties, as couldnt be bothered to order or find screws, but yes it will fit , if have right screw size.

much better using a 2.5 inch drive they are much quieter and create less heat, i managed to come across 2.5 inch western digital 1tb 5200rpm,
