vix image for me only one I have tried up to now and am very happy with it

Have tried PLI and VTI, now using Vix 1.3. Does seem to be a very stable image, with excellent features.

I am new to VU+ Duo and have tried both Vix 1.3 and Blackhole 1.4.2 and have switched over maybe 3 times on each image.

I am finally settled on Vix because

Looks better
Friendlier Gui
More access to plugins
Better EPG visually
Just has that edge of quality over Blackhole although i really like blackhole 1.4.2 and it has some really good qualities.

I have been using vix for some time, but the latest ver. was giving me some probs, sometimes when I changed a non-hd channel and swapped to a hd channel suddenly my box just froze.

so now im on pli.

waiting for the next newer version of vix, that might solve it.

Started with VTI then changed to PLI then on to Vix 1.3 but had so many crashes and lock ups mainly when changing channels ,so went back to PLI

and not had a green screen or lock up since, so PLI for me

too early for me..just got the vu+duo yesterday, loaded the vix 2.0 image as it was the latest..so far so good....i suppose time will tell..

switched from ViX to blackhole ... too many green screens and poor recording playback (sorry) ... black hole seems to work for me

I installed VIX 2 & ran online update. Working like a dream. Picked up all my Satellites first time.

Plays MKVs from the internal Hdd.

i like vix and use that but it hasnot more beatifull skin as seen on vti or blackhole

I've been using vix ever since i got my Duo around 6 months ago. But am getting fed up with crossepg crashing when updating. So seems slight buggy there.

I love the interface on Vix. Hope little things gets ironed out soon.

Thinking of trying PLi image. Which is a good pli image to use?

where do you store your epg and how many sats epg are you down loading?

I am using Vix 1.3

As for CrossEpg. I've set it so it downloads to a USB pen stick.
Use OpenTV providers for UK and ITA
About 6 Providers from Rytec XML providers list.
