I've actually timed before and after

    Before 1 min 24 secs
    After 1 min 26 secs

    So roughly the same

This is timed from pressing power button in standby to actual picture shows on screen

It is the Shut down that it greatly lessens the time, approx quarter of original time removed

Almost same booting time, also shut down time. But greatly enhanced SD picture quality in my opinion compared to the recent drivers in VIX 2.1.4. Also HD seems to be a tick better. Of coure this is my personal impression only. But you could read quite often that the last drivers (release March 21st, I believe) have worsen SD quality. Now it seems to be recovered.

Maybe we can look forward to VIX 2.2 as we have a new Original Image 5.8?

I believe this is meant with "needs an image update".

Edit: and already new drivers (26-04-2011) here
