sorry guys just another what setup to get
its the new year soon and i got some spare cash i got £250-280 to spend in your lovley sponsers shop. I see that the dish package is 105 for the 80cm motorized dish so that leaves £150-170 for a tunner what tunner should i get i thinking the
Technomate TM-800 HD PVR Linux Enigma2 or
Technomate TM-Single Enigma 2 Linux HD PVR Single
VU+ Solo Single Tuner
or do i go for a cheaper Ferguson 202
any advice would be great thanks in advance

look at either the TM-Twin / TM 2T or as above mentioned the gigablue models, While i have not used a gigablue i know plenty who have they they love them, where as i have both the above mentioned Technomate receivers and both work great ( every bit as good and better than my Vu+ Duo's ).

ye been looking at the gigablues package deals isit worth payin axrea 20 for the extra tunner (isit for freesat or cable?) and if u get extra tunner u need the twin lnb ?

I think its a cable/terrestrial tuner... Yeh if you add a second tuner you will need a 2nd feed from somewhere, so if you have a single LNB you will need a dual lnb if it was 2 sat tuners but with this tuner being cable/terrestrial you will need a terrestrial or cable feed for the 2nd tuner

bear in mind that the gigablue is not a twin tuner but a dual, by this i mean that the optional extra DVB-C/T tuner can not be used at the same time as the satellite tuner and vice versa, where as the Technomates are Twin tuners allowing for both tuners be be used at the same time for recording and viewing purposes.

oh i see so iam looking to use the pvr option and record live tv ect so maybee thetechnomates might b the 1
