    where can i buy a 6ft pole?

I'm missing my motorised set up, still on the side of my old house

Anyways due to the way my house faces I'll need to go the 6ft pole and T&K brackets route.

Anyone know where I can buy the pole from? either galvanised or ally.

I'm located in Berkshire but do travel all over the south of the country for work

    cheers

+1 again never use crap steel and alloy poles even if they have a good gauge rating, if your install is above roof guttering except nothing less than a scaffold pole. if your installing motor in between the T&K's then a good 2" gauge steel or alloy should suffice.

Agree with others. Gotta go the scaffold pole route... Needs to be able to ensure it won't crush under tightening or wind movement...

Scaffold poles way a ton though, my last one was a galvanised steel pole, no where near as heavy as a scaffold pole but never ever moved, buckled or bent all the years it's been above my guttering.

@nao could easily pinch one mate lol but I don't have 5 fingers ha ha

As above scaffold pole is the only way, I used an alloy pole that my local sat shop said was more than upto the job.

2 years later and in high winds I was woken up to the noise of my dish hitting the bathroom wall as it was swinging from the roof on the coax.

I didn't have a ladder so the only way to minimise the damage was to lean out the bathroom widow and cut the coax with a pair of scissors and let the dish (and motor) hit the floor.

Luckily for me, the motor survived, and I had a spare dish in the shed.

So this time I fitted a scaffold pole and I didn't have anymore problems.

I've since replaced it with a 3" pole, with a channel master dish on the top of it, and I got that pole from ebay.
