    Hi to everyone

Just joined this forum ,have had a DM7025+ which has now broken, and need a replacement, have been looking
at VU+Uno but I wanted two tuners. The Ultimo would be my next choice, but seems a little expensive in the UK compared to Europe. These seem to be the only boxes supported by black hole Images which I am keen to
use again. Find the Duo looks too dated and basic, also first reports said picture quality was poor, which is the main thing for me.

    and :welcome.

The duo is a great box and have to disagree on PQ, I have both the DUO and ET9 and 5K and cannot tell the difference between them, but than am not one to spend £500 on having a telly calibrated

As for image, any reason why you favour BH? Have a try of the VIX and can assure you wont be disappointed but end of the day your box, so try all and settle on what your happy with.

Hi, my reason to favour the BH images was when I had the DM7025 they where the best for support and skins. I have never used the Vix Images as I don't have a box to use them on, I currently have an Orton X403P Hd box and eagle 500s type box. so when I upgrade in the new year I can try these Images. The Duo seemed to have early PQ issues
with drivers I believe which have now been sorted, but I just don't like the look of the box itself.

To be honest i really did not like the look of the Duo my self either until i actually got one. now it's sat under my Uno and does not look dated or out of place. maybe there could have been a few buttons on the front of the box for volume and menu controls but thats about my only niggle point. asfar as picture quality goes, as i said i have both a Uno and a Duo sat one on top of the other, hooked up to the same Tv and both look fine to me. Then again i'm not the kind of person who messes with those kinds of settings looking for the so called perfect picture, if i wanted a perfect picture i'd go sit down by my local lake at sunset.

Would you say the Duo is a better buy than the Uno if you had the choice to get one now.

Both boxes are great and aimed at different users. The UNO is newer and a single timer whereas the DUO is a twin tuner. If you want a twin it has to be a the DUO / XT9200 or if you really want to push the boat out Ultimo. For single tuner the UNO is top of the tree and than its the XT5000 or SOLO.
