i think this is right up to a degree! but why rename CCcam.2.3.0 to 2.2.1?yup - for me i renamed the mipsel version (took the .mipsel off the end) transferred it over alongside the other one and renamed it CCcam_2.2.1 and then chmodded it to 777 - over to the vu and and swtiched over, livened it up and then restarted the box - works fine - other receivers round the house all auto connected back to it. you can leave the old one alongside it also just in case there's any problems. Hope that helps anyone looking in.
and why chmod 777?
i'd go for renaming the mipsel file to CCcam.2.3.0
copy it over to /usr/softcams.
and chmod it 755.
