When im in the receivers folder locations there is No picon folder in mine.

Then simply make one. And ftp your picons in there.

all you have to do is to place the picons into a folder called picon then FTP that folder to the location as mentioned above, then restart enigma.

If you read the thread you will see i have created a picon folder and put MMC's superbly put together picon updated 03/07.rar file in there and yes im using Vix. What i did notice was it's a 3.38MB File but when i ftp it into receiver it read as a 5.60MB file so is the additional 2.24 MB the reason for it not working out. If so why/where is the 2.24MB coming from has some txt attached itself to picon file itself..

rar is (like zip) a compression algorithm. So once 'unrarred' the folder is indeed likely to have grown.
And besides: the actual space used is also dependant on the file system. On your PC that will be different then on the box.

You don't have a picon-folder inside the picon-folder I hope?

3.38 MB is the size of the .rar archive, you must decompress the archive first before FTPing the picons to the flash, thus 5+ meg is accurate.

Let me rephrase the process.... download MMCmedia picon pack and extarct it on your pc. The extracted folder will be called "picon 03.07". There is another folder inside called "picon". Using Filezilla, drag and drop the "picon" folder onto the root of the receiver's internal memory, (ie not in another folder). Reboot.

Hey Folks thanks so much for your kindness and generosity of help, I've managed to get it going I had to delete existing picon from enigma2 I had put there earlier, re-done the whole process and it worked...happy days.

Many Thanks for your time and patience I'm new to this only got my set up in Feb so it's a steep learning curve for me and sometimes simple things can be quite daunting...
