    Hi,
connect with DTP and then / is the root of the flash. I always put my picon into /share/enigma2 or /usr/share/enigma2.

Picons not working when i transfer via ftp into /usr/share/enigma also there is no usr/share/enigma2/picon folder options in Receiver the transfer appears to go into directory successfully but doesn't work. However when i re-insert USB Stick coloured picons are there on every infobar channel.
Anybody have an idea why this process isn't working for me and point out anything im doing wrong etc..

    Internal Flash?

All picons should be in a folder called "picon" - you may have to create one. Then FTP to user/share/enigma2 and restart.

Enigma will look for the picon folder whether USB or flash.

I've done exactly as you said, I had to create a Picon folder which had mmc latest 03/07.rar updated picons in it. I FTP'd into /usr/share/enigma2 done a Restart and a Restart enigma as well but Picons still not showing on Infobar. I'm on Vix3.0 build 668.

    What's your thoughts folks?

    No need for /usr etc.
Just in the root (so '/picon') is fine. This applies to flash, but also to any other storage device.
Be aware: no uppercase, not 'picons'. Just place them in the folder 'picon'.
Else just download a set from the feeds: you'll see exactly where they are then.
This is supposing you're using ViX.

BTW: no need for double postings.

Is the picon folder spelt like that (no capital P). Also, did you make sure that you copied just the picons from MMC's rar and did not copy them across in a folder?

Here is my layout. On root of internal memory, not in folders. "picon", not "Picon" or "picons"

P.S you should have stayed in the same info bar thread.

    Internal Flash?

What difference is there in putting them in /, not user/share etc?

Both work, just moved them and rebooted.

Isn't the enigma2 folder included in the list of settings to be backed up?

    Internal Flash?

I have not always used picons and noticed a slight lag when flicking through EPG (quick EPG to be accurate) compared with having no picons. Just thought it normal. This thread got me wondering if those extra file paths have anything to do with it?

Nope, the path has nothing to do with that (as long as you don't have picons installed on HDD).
