    Thats like saying its a waste of time having additional usb tuners ..... my SAT>IP box is "supposed" to give me an additional 8 tuners ....which then gives me a great server for any receivers using Fallback Tuner/RCSC... but we will see If it doesn't work its going back and I will try another box that is known to work.

    Sorry I still do not see the benefit, never have tbh.

    So far
    1st box MegaSat 0600200 Sat2IP-Server:
    Excellent technical spec in so far you have 8 tuners...
    Very basic WEB interface ....... basically doesn't tell you anything useful!
    Couldn't get it to work, (but see later) so shipped it back

    2nd Box Kathrein EXIP 414/E SAT>IP Server:
    Only 4 tuners but otherwise excellent spec,
    WEB interface - much better you can actually see whats going on ...... once the E2 receiver connects
    Again, no connection from either SF4008 or HD51 and both run like a dog.... (actually later managed to connect from the SF4008 and pick up picture and sound but the system locks up.)
    IPAD connects fine.
    So then tried the trusty ET8500 ... works perfectly first time, no issues.
    Channel switching is just like 4 additional tuners in the box.

    So there appears to be an issue with Arm processor receivers ....... have posted some Q's.

    If this can be fixed then will keep one of the boxes!! Buying Kathrein is like the buying teh crown jewels but the WEB interface and build quality is good.

    My tests have been with an ET6000 using a quad tuner TBS card and either minisatip or tvheadend acting as the SAT>IP server, with this I can obviously watch the servers web interface when the receiver requests a channel.

    The only thing I have been able to get to work semi-reliably is openatv with one SAT>IP tuner, if I add a second tuner neither of them will work from the receiver. Even with only one enabled I sometimes have issues tuning certain channels (running the DiSEqC Tester plugin fixes it and allows it to tune the channel), maybe it is a DiSEqC issue, although the exact same setup works correctly with a real tuner.

    How are you adding more than 2 SAT>IP tuners? I am only able to add 2 from the satipclient plugin.

    THe Kathrein supports 4 clients like most SAT>IP server boxes.... the Megasat 8 clients.
    I am trying to get an answer on the Arm receivers as to whether there is an issue with the SAT>IP client plugin and the virtual tuner generated for these boxes.

    Forgot to say, that during the initial "Discover" process, the plugin obviously "talks" to the server which communicates the number of available clients, and the plugin then builds that number of virtual tuners.

    On the Arm boxes, as it is trying to set up the connection with the "remote server" virtual tuner for the actual service (mixture of time-outs and these values are not what I expected) ... and it keeps on trying which is why the image runs like a dog.... but it is the same for both ATV and ViX.
    It has worked (once) for the SF4008, but although connected and showing the video, the box was basically locked up and you couldn,t do anything useful.
    The plugin is able to setup up (I think) 3 types of vtuner and that maybe where the issue lies....... I need to see the log on the ET8500 to see what it is doing and compare to the Arm boxes...... then I may do some tinkering with the vtuners (if my limited skills allows me).
    Why Arm should be different, I have no idea, but there is already code in for some 4K boxes...... but have asked that question elsewhere.

    Interesting, it doesn't do that here, this is what it "discovers", as you can see 4 tuners;

    And I am presented with this under tuner configuration;

    Does your /etc/vtuner.conf look similar to mine?

    Thanks, changed mine to;
    Code:
    0=desc:minisatip,ipaddr:192.168.1.10,tuner_type:DVB-S,uuid:11223344-9999-0000-b7ae-9c5c8e857523,vtuner_type:satip_client

    2=desc:minisatip,ipaddr:192.168.1.10,tuner_type:DVB-S,uuid:11223344-9999-0000-b7ae-9c5c8e857523,vtuner_type:satip_client
    3=desc:minisatip,ipaddr:192.168.1.10,tuner_type:DVB-S,uuid:11223344-9999-0000-b7ae-9c5c8e857523,vtuner_type:satip_client
    but it still only gives me 2 (and the same problems). Maybe there's another config file I haven't found.

    It's a bit frustrating, if getting a new box would give me 4 working SAT>IP tuners I'd buy one but I can't tell if the problem is with the box or the SAT>IP server...

    My ET8500 works like a dream ... but having received some replies to my Q's, it appears there is an issue with at least some of the 4K Arm receivers and vtuners
