"list" is just what's available from feeds, whereas "list-installed" is what's installed and therefore needed. If I can use Kodi 15.2 and this ffmpeg package isn't installed then it can't be needed!

    That make sense?
Better to check what is contained in ffmpeg, backup images are not allowed here but i have created a few myself for the Solo2 with Kodi 15.2 & was simply trying to be helpful replying to this thread.
    Hope that makes sense.

I didn't intend to sound funny.

I was just trying to say that I'm using the modified image backup with kodi 15.2 and ffmpeg package is not classed as being installed on my image and Kodi 15.2 is working as does, as far as I can tell, the image itself. Therefore, I don't think it's needed otherwise I would have found it when I initially did opkg list-installed *ffmpeg*. It's only listed in "list" which just lists package available to install (but may not be installed)

    i will test tonight
I don't think it's needed Rossi, as you can see from above it's not listed as being installed in my modified image (although it is available to be installed).

I have just got my Vu+ Solo2 up and running, with OpenVix 3.2.037 installed.

I also have an Amazon TV Fire Stick running Kodi and it would be great if I can get rid of this and run Kodi on the Vu.

From reading through this thread then it sounds like this is not possible with the build I have and I shall keep an eye on this thread for news of when that might change.

Please correct me if I am wrong and it can be done now

No you can do that already, just download xbmc plugin from the open vix feed & install it. Only problem is it is version 13.2 & we are hoping for an updated version in the next image

Thanks - that's very helpful info.

Is it best to monitor this thread to find out when next version is available?
