    done the 'always off' trick and much more responsive, was very sluggish when changing channels and menu before and made my vu solo look like lightning. i just thought it was the box until come across this thread!

    Indeed, its a miracle cure, the box is unrecognisable in speed terms once the display is turned off.

    I'm a noob though and i'm still not sure what is the reason for this? Is it a vix or a box issue? or something else?

    My box was horrible before i discovered this.
