I cant seem to get any channels

hi it me again!

i am not the best at this but i thought i would have got some channels,
even having the dish at 28.2 degg astra for the usual freesat channels,
most screens i look at have a blanked out screen,
in the bottom right hand corner i have a yellow or green letter A,
also i notice a key symbol, which i assume means locked or something?

because you get no bloody manual with this device, how the hell are you suppose to understand and work out what to do with this machine,
getting fed up now, basically beause of the lack of info

Whats your setup? Motorised? Is your dish aligned correctly? Give more info on your setup.

motorised dm101 motor, 80cm dish.
i know my dish lines up ok for astra 28.2,
just cant understand why i get that key symbol and no picture,

So are you getting free to air channels? Like BBC1 etc..?

are you only getting this on the premium channels ? or all of them including the FTA channels ?. because if it's only the premium channels that are affected it's your method of decrypting them that is at fault ( be careful how you go from here as talk of card sharing is not permitted on this forum ).

its the channels i would expect to be clear, no bbc at all, got itv, got channel 4, no where near the channels i get on my freesat box i have set to a fixed dish, not looking at decypting yet , this is hard enough lol

just an update, bbc hd says tune failed

Have you done a scan and if you loaded a bouquet where did you get it from and how old is it?

the lock would signify that the channel is encrypted. have you tried loading either a upto date bouquet file to the box or loading a upto date satellites.xml file and doing a scan from that ?.

i will try all these suggestions, cheers guys, do i load bouquets thru a usb stick?

no you use a programme such as dreamset or dreambox edit. both can be found on the forum.
