    Rename Picons to SNP format

This is an updated version of the plugin to run the script to rename picons to SNP format. Many thanks to McQuaim and Huevos as well as the other contributers in the project.

The script will not interfere with any existing picons. It will find your picons whether they are on the internal memory, USB or HDD of receiver. The converted picons will be placed in a zip file in your /tmp/directory

You can optionally place a lamedb file and/or picon folder in the tmp directory. These will be converted instead of the ones in use on the system. If there are none in the /tmp/ directory, it will use the ones on the system.

Please note that it will match current name in lamdeb to the picon using the corresponding service reference. I.e if you have a picon which says Movies 24, and the channel name is now Christmas 24, the picon will be named as Christmas 24.

Two scripts to which may assist in picon conversion/usage. Place the scripts in the picon directory and execute there. Syminks only work on linux file systems. They won't work on fat32 devices.

They are run with telnet. Once you are in the picon folder e.g cd /media/usb/picon/

    ./unifyregions.sh

    for the other one

    ./sattocable.sh
    Attached Files Attached Files

This is the original plugin done in 2014/5 by Huevos. Most E2 people do things without looking for glory. Name and fame are not driving forces. However, there is a gentlemanly/unwritten rule of opensource/sharing that you credit where you get source from.

Bump just in case anybody needs it
