Hi Guys,
Is it possible to watch satellite tv channels without satellite dish? Cheers
I would say yes with Iptv via internet.
Hi mate
Sky are moving in that direction not sure if they have completed setting up maybe worth a call,
you can with sky q with the main box connected with dish have a second mini box connected via
your network by wifi or ethernet cable which does not need the dish and sky have reported that
in the near future they will be using the internet to feed channels the same way without the
need for the dish
Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
.........FBC Tuners:
------------------> GT-Sat unicable LNB to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Gigablue unicable LNB to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
.......................
Vu+ Uno4KSE, Dreambox dm900
AX HD61, Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo, Octagon SF8008 , gbtrio4k, h9se using unicable ports
Zgemma H9 C/S into Giga4K
dsayers (08-06-19)
It would hardly be satellite TV without the satellite bit? IPTV maybe
Zgemma H7S running OpenVIX 6.2, Darkmotor, Triax TD110 dish, Inverto Black Ultra dual lnb
LG 50UM7450 4K TV, Pioneer VSX-534 Atmos AVR , Panasonic UB820 region free 4K Bluray & a PS4.
Cheers guys, i will look into Iptv and read about it.
I've always thought sat dish is needed for sat tv channels till someone at work said he's watching sky and world tv without sat dish
Years ago when one had old boxes and sats on the wall outside boxes did not have lan so where fixed streams from line of sight.
I would imagine latest iptv and android boxes gets their feeds from unknown sources all by lan cable.
Hi m8
Don't recall having to pay any installation cost for this being a sky customer but will say some cost involved in having
the main sky q box and extra cost for the mini q box. As for saving sky will not have to spend time installing the dish
just set up q box to the customers network, depending if a wired connection is required over wifi some cost could be
incurred but basic plug n play so reducing cost
