How can I keep the channel number on the front display instead of showing the clock.
I am using the openvix 5.2.017 firmware and the Simple_Ten_Eighty skin.

No this is not possible unless you edit the front display skin yourself.
A plugin that used to be used with 7 Segment front display that allowed the change of displaying either time or channel number, this used memory. A decision was made to scrap this and use a universal solution for all boxes that does not use extra resources.
