    Dash Cam

Has anybody out there bought one of the CoPilot dash cam, currently being sold by Tesco petrol stations?

I've got 1, but I'm not sure if it's faulty or it's just how it works.
I'm referring to loop recording. From my understanding, once the sd card is full, it should start erasing and recording over the existing data. This doesn't happen for me, I just get sd card full message, and I have to format the card again.
Anybody with one shed any light?

If your camera is badly mounted and has possible fallen off the windscreen whilst driving and/or you've hit something like a pothole the camera may have gone into accident mode and write protected the x minute recording at the time the camera was subjected to the shock. The camera may not be able to automatically clear this write protected sector and cannot progress beyond it, hence possibly indicating that the SD card is full. Try reformatting the SD card to get rid of the write protected section. Then turn off the shock sensor (G sensor - G force sensor) in the camera settings menu to see if the camera can now record in the wrap around mode.

Are you generally satisfied with your CoPilot dash cam, TK4? I'm considering getting one myself so I'd love to hear your experiences with it.

No problems to report once I turned of the GeForce sensor. Very happy with it.

Bought two very similar cameras but without the G Force sensor or a memory card from China for £4.50 each with free postage, arrived within 10 days . Using it with a 16 Gb. card and pleased to say I'm impressed with it's performance especialy considering the price.
