The issue reported in this thread, and by me in what I thought was the right place is certainly not resolved with 4.2.023.

pretty sure someone posted that issue only occurs if you alter the osd position. may explain why the different results.

Blue HD, but it doesn't matter which skin I use.

It's not an issue for me as I just use the 'just scan' feature on my TV which solves the problem. But this is just a work around, as if I revert to 16:9 aspect ratio and change the position setup, the issue comes back.

As a few people have mentioned, it probably is a driver issue as there was no problem before 016.

I don't use 'just scan' as a majority of the content I watch is in sd so 16:9 suits my needs better, using 'just scan' does fix the issue but the point is it never used to be a problem even when the osd position was altered until 018 was released so something is not right.

Just scan will still give you 16:9 with overscan turned off on TV. Just scan will display 16:9 and 4:3 in correct formats, but I'll report it to Edision in the new year, now I've got a clue how to replicate.

Yes, I can confirm that resetting the OSD position does resolve the problem.

Tried the flash and restore on both my Edision and Xtrend last night.... Lost everything on both.
    Back to the drawing board
I have the openvix .16 zip for the ET8500, but I think I need the latest one for the Edision - Or can I use this zip folder for the OS Mini too?

It would also appear that most are getting the restores to work.... How come I get an unable to restore each time I try one?
I'm bound to be doing it all wrong? :/

You are not providing much detail.

At a guess, the plugin server was set to unstable last night. If you tried to restore plugins, that would have failed. Settinsg restore should have been fine.

    Is this the case?

I followed the steps in Xtrend to backup first before running the image backup in Vix....
did a Flash and went to the restore on what I had backed up and error... Nothing. Zilch....
Tried .16 and still nothing.... Like I said, I followed the steps on here and now I find myself right back at the start..... :/ A place I really didn't wanna be. Cos I know the ballache it takes to sort! #gutted!
And that's on both boxes!! Aaaaggghhhhhhh

Maybe a new thread should be started as your issue doesn't seem to relate to the mini tv/PIG issue on the edision os mini, I'm still waiting for a reply as to if this has been fixed in the latest update, I know it was also an issue on ATV and has been confirmed as being fixed on a different forum with updated drivers with the latest ATV nightly's.

You're right; second issue has hijacked this thread.

I think the LCD-OSD should have been fixed by
    Code:
    https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/commit/4fdcd0efc19e3a9cca41010c045822df7471717f
