FBC stands for Full Band Capture. Basically enabling you to have 8 satellite signals with the right LNB.

Now just need to find the right box . So I will only need 1 sat tuner and 2 cable for the new box

You could get the Vu+ Solo 4K and add a twin hybrid cable tuner.

I know there are people that will hate this, but fbc tuners are a solution looking for a problem to fix.....,
Yes, there is a niche market but doesn,t support motorised dishes or provide for multiple receivers in the way that a quattro lnb plus multiswitch can handle .... or am I missing something?
I currently run 4 receivers directly off the multiswitch......like to see a unicable lnb do that... but willing to be updated!

Hi,
I am no specialist (Oscam only for >2 years) and untested but there are also gbox and mgcam for arm in the mean time
btw. die 4K has no 24Hz bug she has a general bug switching framerate during playback. Quite annoying:-(
ciao

LOL every single tuner STB can do that.....
But you probably were trying to ask a different question.
About FBC: it's a fantastic solution. The tuner has two 'root-tuners' (each with a coax-input) and 6 'leave-tuners'.
Any leave-tuner can (via the setup) be connected to any of the root-tuners, and will have access to all the transponders the root tuner has.
When combining this with the Unicable II (or JESS) setup, this allows for a (theoretical) maximum of 64 satellite positions being fed over a single coax to the STB.
In reality the actual hardware, being on the market for only a short period, is still a bit limited and expensive.
However: even a not expensive setup can be created for a limited number of satellites. Say you're only interested in 28.2E a single Unicable LNB (version one, on the market for ages) costing around 30-60 quid, allows up to 8 tuners being fed independent. So the default Solo 4k with one Inicable LNB and one coax has 8 independent internal tuners.
Also a two-satellite setup is easy and not expensive: two quatro LNB's and a Unicable Switch will again feed the 8 tuners independent of each other, while just one coax enters the house.
Add to that a second coax with a motorised dish, feeding the optional 'conventional' tuner, and you can watch the whole world.
So yes: given the correct setup, a FBC tuner is the future. Especially when Unicable II stuff becomes more affordable.

Unicable lnb is 4x price of normal lnb!
Unicable switch is really expensive.
So looking at option 2 for 2 sats you have 8 cables going into a unicable switch and 1 cable out for the single receiver to give 8 feeds ...... and you still have the 2nd cable for the motorised.
Given that for one receiver its a good deal, but what about my other 3 receivers?

A Unicable LNB is cheap especially when you consider that one is enough for 8 tuners (and needs only one coax).
What about other receivers? Well, difficult to give a general answer, but Unicable II will be very useful (especially when they become affordable).
And for a one-satelliet setup a Unicable II LNB is already available and not expensive at all, allowing to feed 32 tuners with one coax.
The one-coax lead for multiple tuners can be an enormous advantage: not everybody has the option to get one coax per tuner into his house.

e.g. have a look at the Unicable II LNB IDLU-32UL40-UNBOO-OPP : suitable for 32 tuners, and available for under €70.
