Abm virgin uk timeout for tuner lock

I am trying to set up ABM for both Sky & Virgin.

It works fine with Sky channels but when i try doing Virgin scan the TIMEOUT FOR TUNER LOCK message appears.

I live in Birmingham and have the following settings as attached in screenshots.

All help will be much appreciated.

Probably better to ask in the dedicated ABM section.

First things to check is that you have a working cable signal to the box and that you have the correct NetID for your region.

As lincsat said if you are sure you have a signal maybe your net id is wrong, there maybe more than one for Birmingham or maybe your net I'd isn't Birmhingham, mine is Preston1 and I live absolutely knowhere near Preston, you can get the proper net id from your original box.

    It is wrong.
top connector signal in (female), bottom connector signal out (male).
    both tuners.
So loop must from left bottom to right top.
I am very surprised it is working perfectly.

It's worse than that Jim, are you looping from an RF out to a Satellite input? That isn't fixing anything.

    Loop Cable in Tuner A & C

    Sky in Tuner B

    Virgin Media in Tuner D.

If i wanted to use both Tuners A & B for Sky then Tuner D for Virgin Media how would i create a loop to block of Tuner C?

    Regards,

how many sky cables do you have?

is the cable/terrestrial tuner, a twin model?

you cannot loop between satellite and cable.

post a screenshot of the following page: menu > information > devices

    2 sat feeds to tuner A & B.
Cable feed to tuner C, so.

You do need 2 feeds from the Dish for optimal performance, you can't split a single feed and get all the channels on both inputs. Cable & Satellite are totally different, do not try to loop from 1 to the other.

Disconnect and put that loop cable away. It is useless to you.

As above, you really ought to have two cables from the LNB. If you have not, connect the one satellite cable to tuner A (I am not referring to tuner slot A). Set that as: simple, single, 28.2.
Do not connect any cable to tuner B. Set that as loopthrough to tuner A. There is no need for a cable to connect it to anything. It will use internal loopthrough.
You are already sorted with tuner C.
