    Cable Channel Help Pls

    good evening all

I just got myself a Gigablue HD 800UE, it actually is a nice box, i happy with my purchase, but I've hit a roadblock need help.

I have no idea how to get the cable side of things running.

I live in Hounslow so I think my net id 40979, unless ive got it wrong, done a auto scan i got some channels that work and some that. But the problem I've come across is using Lraizer Autobouquets E2 UK Cable latest version, after its completed its update and made bouquets, when i go to bbc 1, bbc 2, etc i get the dreaded SID not found in PAT error, and this error comes on mostly all the channels FTA & $$ ones.

Can somebody help, get my channels sorted like it is with sly.

Just mention I running Openvix Hades

    Thank you

Whichever plugin you use, you must make sure you use the correct NetID. The SID not found in PAT is because you are using the wrong NetID.

How do we know which NetID to use. I have found a list of Towns with corresponding NetIDs (not sure if we're allowed to post links to another forum) but how do we pick? Do you simply pick the town nearest to you or or there more to it than that?

It is the NetID that is important, not the name. Surest way is to check the Engineers menu of an Official receiver.

Is there any other way, for those who don't have access to an official receiver?

You don't need the Net ID to get all your local channels. Just do a full search using the menu commands.

sorry to come back after so long, I should have subscribed to this thread so I'd get emailed upon a reply. How to you do a full search? I've done a 'complete' search a few times but it yields zero results. Attached is the pic from my tuner config. Hoping to get some help.
    Thanks.

    Option 1.
"Scan" using ABM. Try the few Net IDs that you think could be the right one. This is the best option as your bouquets will aslo be made.

    Option 2.
Set the tuner as pictured. Scan as pictured. If you are not in a Pure area, you will get chanenls that won't work, they will come back with SID not found in PAT.

If you don't get any chanenls at all, there is an issue with your signal/cabling

    Hi Abu

Thanks for your help. In fact I had already tried several things included your suggested steps above and gotten nothing. When I try ABM I simply get "Timeout for tuner lock".
Funnily enough, sometimes the tuner did't even appear on the Tuner Configuration Page, I'd have to reboot a few times to get it to appear. Thus I flashed from Hades 014 to 016 now the tuner always appears in the config page but I still cannot scan in any channels at all, either by scanning or ABM. I have also tried a 6dB and 10dB forward path attenuator - makes no difference.

So this will make you think that there's a problem with the cable feed, but I have no issues when connecting my Virgin super hub to the very same feed. Moreover, when I connect my old crappy Evo Xfinity (DVB-C version) to the feed all the channels scan in just fine - so I know there's nothing wrong with the feed.

I am beginning to think there is something wrong with the tuner in this box. Is there anything else I can try?

Hi folks just to post back here. it looks like my Technomate TM SE Nano Combo box had a faulty tuner. It's now been replaced by the good people at WOS.
I tried ABM using Net ID code 40980 and it picked up loads of channels and made some bouquets which basically compounds the fact that the last box was faulty.
I have tried using Lraizers Cable AB using same code but all that does is make empty bouquets - so this doesn't work for me I will instead continue to use ABM.

Hey, I'm using these settings for a search, without any server set up for the lines or anything like that, and afet 100% complete, there are 0 channels found, am I doing something wrong here or should I expect to see at least some channels found?
