    Working Universal Remote for et9x00

    Hi friends,
My ET9200 remote has packed up. I looked for a spare and it seems these cost upward of 30 quid.

I'm considering the following options :

Option 1 : URC 7140 Universal Remote on Amazon which costs about 15 quid. I searched the forums and it seems this one works with older models of Xtrend and about 95% on Vu+ solo 2. Can anyone please confirm if it works 100% with et9x00?

Option 2 : Logitech Harmony 650 on Amazon which costs about 50 quid. This one is confirmed to work with et9x00 but expensive and I'm not sure if I want to invest that much in a remote that'd be handled by kids and may get broken again :P

    Thanks

I got a Harmony 650 this week and it's a great remote - quite a robust feel about it - easy to set up and very customisable. The 350 looks decent as well and it's about half the price.

But the 350 works only as a 'device-RC'. The 650 is activity based; once you have used that, you can't believe you ever did without.

Activities are like 'watch TV', 'watch DVD' etc. The Harmony 'knows' to which device to talk 9zap to STB, volume to amp, input to TV etc.

I offered it up due to it being cheaper. Logitech website says the 350 is activity based although I think it can only control one activity.
