Sky Italia SD Channels Going Dark

Judging from reports on other forums it looks like Sky Italia SD channels are going the same way as their HD counterparts. I wonder how long it will be before Sly UK SD channels go the same way too.

Just out of interest, why would people be using Italia? Unless they are Italian of course!

On a serious note lots of movies and sport which are broadcast in english so the audio can be changed via your receiver . Although a lot of the sports are foreign language and cannot be changed to english.

Apart from the obvious posted above, in the days of HD there were lots of channels which carried English audio. These included films, sports, documentaries etc. Some of the films were aired 1-2 weeks in advance of Sly UK too. Some of the SD channels carry English audio too but these are few and far between.

How many viewers do you think Italian services have? Large country, but also by many outside Italy.

Having done some research it depends if you're using a Chinese box or not.
