    Hard drive fat 32 or ntfs

    Does anyone know what format the techno-nano takes hard drive wise
    got a nano kit with 2.5" Hard drive in but stays on boot screen currently on Nfts and new zeus

    It should not really make a difference as you'r going to have to initialize the drive through the image into a Linux format any way, but if it wont boot using NTFS try FAT32 instead.

    You can try following... disconnect HDD power cable. Boot the receiver and then install ntfs drivers and then shut down. Connect HDD and then restart.

    Already tryed that but also installed fat 32 so might uninstall both then reinstall ntfs drivers cheers if that doesnt work
    is there any cables to buy to attach to laptop to format to fat 32

    Not worth it for one time use, but even a sisused caddy will do.

    Why not pop round to a friend's place with a PC?

    Well used a polish pc shop alot for wires and so brought it to the bloke told him linux receiver
    He said ext 3 so formatted works a treat never even charged me Lol THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP

    EXT3 is fine, however, I'd initialise it in the box now so it's EXT4 before you start filling it up with recordings.

    Yeah it was in NTFS; thought there was only nfts and fat 32, the polish bloke just sorted it free thought he was gonna ask for a bottle vodka
