What's with all the new images????

Guy's could somebody enlighten me as to why so many new versions of VIX?

I'm currently running 3.0.553 released in Jan and there's now 9 newer versions released in only 30 days. There is a new version every 3 days or so.

    What are the improvements?

Are they just tweeks to certain modules or actual improvements to the image?

    Thanks.

Technically there is one ViX 3.0 image the different builds as pointed out by stanman are a accumulation of bug fixes, feature additions and overall image improvements. our previous way of doing things was to release a single update once every so many months but we got a load of flack for this as our users demanded to be able to access the improvements and bug fixes as and when we made them.

so it's a catch 22 here, do you want us to go back to the old system where we would basically keep every thing in house and essentially closed source, only releasing a image when we were sure it was ready ( maybe twice a year if that ) or do you want to be able to access the image and improvements as and when we create them ??.

Andy is locked in his cave at the moment doing all he can to improve the image, 3 or 4 days without an update is a blessing to some, a pain to others...
