I have a new Miracle Premium Twin HD with two terrestrial TV tuners for the UK Freeview service and fitted with an internal 1Tbyte hard drive. The box is running VIX Apollo build 030, Kernel 3/6/0, dated 7 September 2014

With approx 5 hours of playing around and going through all the set-up menus all things appear to work except 'deep standby'.

When the box is put into deep standby the blue LED on the front panel lights. When attempting to wake it up by pressing the power button on the remote one of two problems appear:

1) The front panel on the box continually displays 'Miraclebox' but fails to boot at all. It will remain in this state forever. The only way out of this failure is to turn the box off at the mains switch. The box will then boot up faultlessly on re-instating the mains power.

2) The box displays 'Miraclebox' then 'booting' and in the normal way, after a few splash screens, a TV picture appears BUT the hard disk is missing and the wired network connection is completely broken. When in this state pressing the restart option from the power menu will get the box working again.

This means that the box is somewhat useless as a PVR if placed in deep standby.

A quick Google suggests this is a common problem with these boxes but I haven't seen anyone report a fix.

Is there a fix?
