Are the timers stored to a file? If so, where are they stored and how much space do they take up?
Is there a way to automatically delete completed timers after a certain amount of time?

There's a file in the enigma2 directory.
Everything gets stored!

The timer file is /etc/enigma2/timers.xml . The file size, of course, depends on how many timers there are at the moment.
The setting "menu / setup / recordings, playback & timeshift / recording & playback / remove completed timers after (days)" controls how many days the finished are kept before they are automatically deleted. I think the optional duplicate recordings prevention in the autotimers check the finished timers to decide if a timer will be skipped as duplicate.

I suspect the OP is referring to AutoTimers. AutoTimers create timers.
Thanks. I'm not talking about AutoTimers, just normal timers when you press record on a show, once it's finished recording you can see a completed timer in the Timers via the green button.
Blue button is cleanup once you are in timers.
