not worked upgrader
Just an update to help anyone - if you are having to do a recovery by connecting to the RS232 port and running HyperTerminal or the like you may well have to use Windows XP o/s to do this and not Windows 7 (or later).
Found this to be the case for my Spiderbox as although the device shows a boot sequence on the HyperTerminal display when connected it will not go to the menu option screen if you are using Windows 7. Works fine under Windows XP. Also tried another emulator, Putty, and the same thing. It may be the same thing with other set top boxes as well.
After that little hiccup the reflash worked a treat.
