    Hard Disc Install

I am completely new to Linux receivers and am just preparing myself for the arrival of my Vu+ box.
This may seem like a totally dumb n00b type question.
    Forgive me my ignorance.
What file system does a HDD need to be formatted with to run in the Vu+?
Will the VU+ format the drive itself or will it need to be installed in a PC, formatted and then re-installed in the Vu+?

    Thanks

No real need to format it in advance.

It will format / initialise in the unit from the Setup Hard Disk menu.

    Hi Mate,

When you install the Hard Disk...do the below once setup.

Go to Menu > Setup > System > Hard Disk

Then you will need to initialise the disk. This will create the filesystem and format it for you.

Thats all there is to it.
Setup: Vu+ Duo, Orbital 90cm Dish, Technomate TM2600 Motor, Inverto twin LNB

but they are so cheap so why not?

I've actually realised I've got a 200Gb sitting around that I was going to build a mediaPC out of.....[and spare mobo, cpu, ram, psu etc - it's a long story]....so I needn't have bought this.

Looks like I'll have to build that PC now.
