    Volume Steps

Does anyone know if I can change the step size of the volume control, I have a Bluetooth transmitter plugged into the AV socket so that I can listen of a night without disturbing 'the missus', currently the volume step size is 5, so Zero is no volume and 5 is the lowest volume but of a night 5 is too loud, I have done lots of searches on this subject and the common reply for volume steps is to use the TV volume but that does not apply in this case, my earbuds do not have separate volume control, the Amp output on the SF8008 appears to be louder than on my old Zgemmas.
I have an SF8008 running Openvix 6.4.008 with Willobuild and slyk-onyx-1080 skin.
    Any info appreciated?

Just bumping this! Amazed no-one has any information on the volume settings, whether they are hard coded or the step settings are in a config file?

Normally Volume control is 0-> 100 in steps of 1, so where are you getting the steps of +5 from? … and Yes depending on the receiver drivers its likely different between models

im watching footie but its so bad i am passing time on here. To get a good response you have to place the question in the right THREAD heading and above all you have to give the correct information. There is a guide on here somewhere but i am so used to format i have forgotten. So this is what you must do.

Say the image you are using and the version and to get a reply on here it has to be openvix. So if it is Openvix i would post your query under the image support thread.

For me I reckon it may be hard coded and may apply to all images but you never know.

I presume from the rest of what you wrote that 5 would be too loud during the day too?

Is the AV actually just on or off (as the Optical Out connexion on my TV is) on the grounds that it's expecting to go to an Amp that will have its own volume control?

At OpenPLi 9.0 you can set 'Audio volume step size' from 1 to 10.
