So if a video has multiple language subtitle tracks what do you want to happen??

Perhaps you can let me have another file if I have to code further options for multiple language testing.

I only use English so that I can read what the Americans are muttering about when watching movies.
I tend to download movies and, if it's one I want to keep, remove all languages apart from English and force it as default.

Is this a fix and a settings change?
I've just changed the settings and it's bringing up subtitles on live TV as well

Both the changes are C++ code changes….. currently only on my git
Normally you (apparently) cannot have audio language = sub title language displayed automatically.
I don,t see any sub titles (currently) with that setting on, but I guess depends on the service… what are you looking at?..

GB news, ITV and BBC tried and subtitles automatically showing.
If I turn them off, changing channel brings them back on.

These are my settings:

…and you don,t get sub titles now?
config.subtitles.pango_autoturnon Is only used by servicemp3 and servicehisilicon as far as I can tell - so the C++ code uses that if enabled to force sub title initiation, which was previously only done on each initilisation.

Ok will commit changes probably tomorrow to,servicemp3 & servicehisilicon,once some other C++ changes are finalised

On my Zgemma H9 Twin box i've always had problems with subtitles. I usually have to switch them off and on a few times to get them to work and often even that doesn't get them to show. If they're embeded into the file or external .srt I have difficulty with them either way.

well maybe the new change (see above) which will be in a later build, will fix issue. Try it and see and if you still have issues then you need to post a test file I can use.

Subtitle language is already defined here : "Automatic Language/Subtitle language selection 1"

Will have a look surprised it doesn,t do that - but maybe I exited before it does that… No, its the existing code, I know from debug it only goes thru there on first start…. Will have another look at it.
