If you are looking to add a Wifi then the only way is via a USB connection which then can be used as Wifi, The drivers are not needed if the stick is the Plug & Play type wifi stick.

Note: If using the USB Plug & Play Wifi stick as shown in Picture then Use the USB blue Port which is correct for giving the power needed to connect.

This is & can be confusing when buying the correct USB stick so I have added a Picture to show the Plug & Play type USB Wifi stick.

    Attachment 65530

They sell at around £5 in the UK found on the internet.
Do not go for the more expensive USB Wifi that needs drivers keep it simple as shown.

    Hello guys,

I made a error on which USB port to use the USB BLUE port is NOT Correct it has to be one of the two USB ports that you can see next to the Power Button.

Tested to be 100% positive on what I have said.

    Regards Talks.

this seems to be only 300mbps usb wifi adaper available on WOS supposed to be plug n play
    https://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk...gma-2-suitable

300MBPS USB WiFi Adapter suitable for Linux Enigma 2 receivers.

Drivers pre-installed in OpenViX, OpenATV and many other Linux Enigma 2 firmware / images.

Using OpenViX or OpenATV, simply plugin and reboot your receiver. Adapter will then be listed in Networks Adapters

I found that USB wi fi you mentioned and its plug and play ie drivers pre installed, but it does say you must reboot box and then it will appear. I would do a hard reboot ie power off with that white button at rear. One other thing have you the latest version of Vix loaded/flashed to box?? To check go menu, information, about, and it should say image 6.3 if it does not then you need to update image as drivers may not be pre -in stalled with an older image version. There is a newer image 6.4 but I would leave that for now.

When you say tried loads of network connections and nothing works worries me a little. There are only 2 methods of network connection, lan cable or wi fi.

To check you network connection type go menu information network and that should show connection type.

You have to go to network settings to start network.

Are you using a bog standard router with 4 lan ports, say make and version, or are you using mobile sim card stuff??

You start network as per above.

I gave up on the wifi stick that came from wos. Put in my old gigablue wifi sick and worked perfectly. I'll keep it in now. Don't know what was wrong with the other one.

So exactly What usb wifi adapter that did not work was it this one https://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk...gma-2-suitable
or another one at least then other members will know. And even if wifi drivers did not install automatically you can always plug device into a windows pc or laptop it should recognise it and give you an idea of what drivers you need to install instead of trying to go through all the ones on stb untill you find one that works.
