Question Missing python dependencies installing (foreign) "serienrecorder" plugin

    Hi folks,
let me first thank you for this wonderful Image, that keeps my [Gigablue HD Quad Plus] box running for quite some years now :-)

I tried to upgrade from 6.2.* to the latest 6.4 - which did work out quite well. Since the "serienrecorder" plugin is not part of the repository, it was not upgraded as well. Which I was aware. since this was the same through all updates so far.

On reinstalling the plugin it seems to need quite some additional python dependencies that could not get resolved and I'm interested in some hints how such issues might get managed. The plugin itself is marked as "works well with python3" and it did run fine on the 6.2 image.

Certainly, I can go back to the 6.2 but I bet the missing libraries can get installed too. I don't want to switch to openATV just because that plugin.

[solved] Missing python dependencies installing (foreign) "serienrecorder" plugin

    Problem solved: "User error"

I have been tricked by the note that this plugin was not restored after the upgrade. But obviously it still counted as "already installed". Thus, it was not offered as installable plugin and I thought it would not exist at all. Therefore I tried with a manual download from the developer and got the dependency problems.

Once I correctly removed the "installed but defective" plugin, a proper entry showed up in the list of installable plugins.

Voila! Works with a single klick. And it found all my previous databases and configuration.

    Case closed.
