    TV volume

Just got the mew box and I am stumped!

I put the code in for my TV to control the volume and it was working fine.

Now, I have to press TV on the remote to control the volume otherwise the box adjusts the volume?!

    Any ideas?

I don't know what box you have, but it sounds like you didn't complete the remote programming fully. Make sure you carry out the last step for the remote to remember the setting. On VU+ boxes you may need to click 'OK' or depending on the method you are using, you may need to Press OK and STOP for it to remember. Check the manual for your new box.

    Thanks for the reply.

It is the Gigablue UHD UE 4K. The setup was a bit of a palava as my TV, a Panasonic TX700B only has one code!

I will have another read of the remote manual.

I presume you're referring to the GigaBlue remote? If so, the TV button on the remote needs to be pressed first if you are going to adjust the TV volume. If you press the Giga button, then the volume control adjusts the GB box volume. That's the way the remote works on my GB Quad Plus. I normally set the TV volume to (say) 20 and then leave it like that. I adjust the box volume as required. The only slight issue is if you are tuned to a channel transmitting Dolby Digital as the box volume is fixed over HDMI. In that case set the TV volume to suit the DD (or AAC) channels on HD and then adjust the box volume to suit the PCM channels (normally the SD channels).
