    Update to Openvix 6.2

I have done a USB update to the current vix 6.2.001 which automatically picked up my saved settings, all went fine and everything is working as it should. As always I have done a new Image backup up which was fine, but when I tried to do a file backup it got to around 60% and then crashed. I only have Oscam and auto channel installed.

Any help with this issue would be much appreciated.

    can you try this:
login with putty (root & password)
    init 4 (space between)
    filezilla , rename Console.pyc in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components to XConsole.pyc
    copy attachment to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components
    putty: init 6 (space between)

    try backup again.

Tried that, still the same. Should I try a clean install,. or go back to Openvix 6.1 and wait for next update on 6.2?

Why is the v flag on the backup commands?

I'm unaware of the list of backed-up files ever being displayed, so why produce it in the first place?

And if you want to stop the error, why not decode it with errors set to ignore, as you can't do anything about it by then anyway.

Many thanks for your assistance, but I am not the best using putty, so took the decision to do a clean install via USB using 6.2002 image. A lot of work to get it back to how it use to be, not having the option to restore from backup. All seems to be good now.
