    TM500 vs DM500S ?

prob an age old question, forget about the 500s being a clone

    which one would you choose?

ive never used a technomate, how is the software on it? as good as say pli jade?

is it stable? any issues? regular updates?

    Thanks

    TM500Super all day long

Yes regular updates from UR team.

    Stable yes.

    Picture quality fantastic for SD.

Hardware top notch, look at the extra connections on the TM500, 2 scarts, RF loop through and LED display to mention a few.

One thing to remember Baz, the DM500's on the market are all clones, the TM500 is a genuine receiver Saying that, the BM500S that the sponsor sells is damn good first class quality and uses all the DM500s images.

TM500 and if you can afford it the 600 as it is PVR. The TM as others have said have better buld quality and UR image is pretty decent with extended EPG as well.

i have both a DM600 and two TM600'S and truthfully i would always go for the TM over both the DM500 and DM600.
the TM600 has 3 usb ports 2 external 1 internal for use with flashing the box or use with a HDD. as for firmware yes i agree there are more images available for the DM's but i quite like the UR firmware for the TM's it's pretty strait forward and works just like it should. and as there also E1 there easy to setup with bouquets etc.

for me both the DM500 &DM600 are way too old to be compared with the TM500 or TM600. and as the TM's are genuine boxes you get a full warranty which you will not get with the DM500 as they have not been made officially for 5 plus years.

i have DM500 (original and clone), DM600 (original), TM500, TM500Super, TM600, and apart from what everyone else has said, the picture is better on the TM, but, the sound output is 150% better, that was one of the first things i noticed when they were released, i didnt need the TV on full blast to hear it
