I just tried this on my Solo2 running Vix 5.3.029 and when i typed in 555 it changed channel to 101. But not only changed channel it changed bouguets also from favourites to all channels!

I think it defaults to the first channel of the first bouquet.
I've set BBC1 East Midlands as channel 100 and the panic button zaps to that channel from whatever bouquet I'm currently in. (and that's how I like it )

I've found if I set it to 5, then 5555 stays at the current channel, but 555 goes back to 1.
Ah, it behaves differently in different bouquets

Satellite (A favourites bouquet totally created in Webif from scratch ,named fav_freesat, which contains around 45 channels)

    Set to 5
5555 stays on current channel (after timeout)

    Set to 5
555 goes to first channel in bouquet (BBC1 SD in my case)

Terrestrial (Freeview All channels created by ABM containing around 110 channels)

Note: in ABM I have quite a few hiden sections for Sky FTA so the list may be a lot longer.

... thanks for that, my brain was struggling earlier.

ps the "timeout" is configurable, you can even set it to use "ok" to accept what you've typed.

I can confirm the issue now - I don't use ABM so it didn't affect me. I did an ABM scan on freesat and it appears.

Just to confirm that when it goes to the first channel in the bouquet it doesn't change the bouquet. If in the ABM generated Freeview bouquet 555 selects the first channel in the Freeview bouquet and when in the ABM generated Sky FTA 555 selects the first channel in the Sky FTA bouquet.

If you enter a channel number in your current bouquet but beyond all the actual channels, it is ignored.

If you enter a number that just corresponds to a gap between channels in your current bouquet, it takes you to the first channel in the bouquet.

    Still the same in 6.4.

Sorry, but it still seems a bit weird to me.
