    Tuner setup

I've just tried to disable a tuner via tuner setup.

The option doesn't appear to be there anymore.

    I've tried simple_1080 and Vix-night-hd skins.

Tuner type can be changed to disabled, but when I reboot it's back enabled again, although tuner setup says it's disabled.

    Have I lost the plot?

I'll reflash tomorrow if nobody else is seeing this.

Edit: What does configuration mode do? I can't check at the moment as recordings are in progress.

Are you setting up a clean clean system or dirty clean system?

    It's a 5.2.032 flash with a settings restore, done 11 days ago.

The tuner setup doesn't look right, or is it just me?

    with a settings restore
OK, you are using a dirty clean system.

Try clean clean. i.e no restores. There will be an entry in your settings file that could be be affecting this.

We are 5.2 034 by the way. The previous multi-tuner commits have been removed.

    OK, I'll try tomorrow.

I was avoiding 034 until the dust had settled, I went from 024 to 032, I'll have another look at 024, and then move to 034.

    Is 032 a possible cause?

I've gone back to 5.2.024 and the tuner config now looks ok again.

The question is, will a settings restore on 034 work?

Just perform a software update. It is the most common thing to do.

Nothing has changed with regards to backup manager.

Couch flashed 5.2.034 (not quite so easy), checked tuner config which was ok, restored settings and still ok.

Compared settings file for 024 and 034, both identical apart from 3 obvious differences.

I guess so, something went wrong that I can't explain, I could try 032 again sometime if it's of any use.

That should have read "Compared settings file for 024 and 032, both identical apart from 3 obvious differences."
