Can not flash the new image on xtrend receivers

    Hi Guys

I have been flashing enigma 2 reveivers for a while now but can not get my xtrend 10000 and xtrend 8000 to flash. It worked on my VU SOLO 2.
This is 5.2 first release. I have tried 3 different USB sticks and it just by passes where it says "press OK to flash".

Anyone else flashed the new image on the xtrend receivers?

Yes on an ET10000 but by menu -> setup -> vix -> image manager
select download (yellow) and once downloaded select flash (blue)

I assume that you are not trying your VU SOLO 2 download on your Extrends.

On the occasions where I’ve previously flashed by way of a USB stick I’ve found it more reliable to turn the box off at the mains, remove any other USB stick, insert the USB stick with the flash and then turn back on via the mains switch.

Yh I ensured I downloaded the correct version. So wait.. Is your method a different way of doing it.?is that safe? Because its a whole complete different image I thought it had to be via USB?

No difference between couch flash and usb flash, apart from being 1000% easier.

    Why did you think that?

The other thread says "You can download and then flash the new 5.2 image using Image Manager." This actually applies to any image.

The flashing guide shows you how to use Image Manager to flash the receiver too.

Just one caveat, couch flashing requires a working system, so always have a suitable (one that has worked before) usb drive available just in case.
