I find Ncam is more stable than Oscam from feeds and has more flexibility than Oscam which can be found via the Ncam Admin control page via the web browser page

    Configs are found in:
    Code:

    BlackHole - /var/tuxbox/config
    Italysat - /var/tuxbox/config
    OpenATV - /usr/keys
    OpenBlackHole - /var/tuxbox/config
    OpenDroid - /usr/keys
    OpenNFR - /usr/keys
    OpenPLI - /var/tuxbox/config/ncam
    OpenSPA - /etc/tuxbox/config
    OpenViX - /var/tuxbox/config
    RuDream - /var/tuxbox/config
    SatDreamGR - /var/tuxbox/config/ncam
    VTi - /var/tuxbox/config
All PM,s asking about c/s on cable will be ignored and reported to forum staff!

What do you mean with more stable than oscam? I have been using oscam for quite many years without problems. Between my boxes I use camd35 protocol.
Any advantage if I go to ncam?

Oscam has been rock solid for me also. I'll be interested to know what bassethound means as more stable.

Its only my personal opinion that Ncam runs better than Oscam in my setup using multiple readers with fall back readers with out needing regular cam restarts

Ncam will also do steam relay for powervu and will also do tandeburg (obviously I can't go into any details on how it works here google is your friend)

When i tried to change mine to 8888 it would originally take me to Oscam config screen, even though Oscam wasn't installed, then after clearing my internet cache chrome on windows 7 would not connect at all and time out. Changing config back to 8181 worked so i left it.

I have used both oscam and ncam and both are good, but ncam just sways it for me . I also agree with bassethound, in that oscam sometimes needs restarting, with ncam I've not had to this on openatv and openvix since setting it up. running very smoothly. now considering to put ncam on my other receivers.

need to get 1.4 ncam working but not having it.

Don't use Ncam 1.4 as this is unofficial release that might steal your date or use your box for bot nets

Just use the official Ncam 1.1 release

I installed ncam 1.1 (arm7) in my SF4008 with OpenViX. I have ncam config files in /etc/tuxbox/config but ncam overwrites my conf and server files with default values meaning nothing works except biss (which it takes from softcam.key I believe). Why is this behaviour? Now I see you mention config files for OpenViX should be in /var/tuxbox/config, would it make difference?
