    what do u think of mentioning method of formatting (windows directly or through HP software). May be this have an influence

    I use a Transcend 4Gb, a Kingston DataTraveller 16Gb, an Imation 2Gb and a Sandisk Cruzer 16Gb.
    All work well as long as they are formated in Fat32

    Medio (ALDI) 8gb works well
    SanDisk Cruzer Slice 4gb didn't work
    SanDisk Cruzer Micro 2gb didn't work

    As i said in other thread who really knows there brand, most will be off fleabay and be knock offs i know this is a little unhelpful but its something to be aware of when it wont work

    I have used two usb flash drives, a sandisk 256mb and another sandisk 16gb (this bought yesterday). Saves data ok but cant get the VU+ Duo to read data from either on startup.
