Hi sorry if this sounds a thicko question but if i download the correct ipk can i just install it in my mutant hd51 on openvix as i would any other ipk file & reboot my box & should it just over right my older oscam version to the newer one.
It depends on your definition of "correct".
Openvix cams must be in /usr/softcams and have 755 properties. Other images put them id different places. The softcams don't need scripts.
I wouldn't bother with an ipk. Download from streamboard, transfer to /usr/softcams/ , chmod 755, that's it.
