    edison serial cable query.

i have the edison mini twin sat with stuck on boot and wondered if the cable with the box could be used with a downloader to get the box back.
usb image takes but box goes off and leaves boot on front.

Would be a good idea to see why it is stopping first. Are all usb and Internet cables disconnected? Have you tried a different usb stick for image loading?

The serial cable from the receiver can be connected to a computer. Then use a telnet program such as putty to record the data output as the receiver is booting. The data should tell where the receiver is stopping and why. This would be the first step in getting it fixed.

Two things to do when a box does not boot after uploading an image.
    1. Disconnect All cables and devices.
    2. Try a different usb stick.
