    Openvix 4.2.002 UPDATE

    Hi

I see there is an update to the openvix image.

Is there a change log to see what has been modified or improved in the latest build.

    Many thanks

Yes there's a change log but you will have to go looking for it. No one keeps a up to date release / change log thread these days (at least not since I stopped doing it about a year ago). All those threads are locked and only moderators can edit them.

At least the satellites.xml has changed (to an old version). 1°W and 5°E had moved back to 0,8°W and 4,8°E (from where they were moved around a year ago). My channels disappeared. Copied a backup of the "real" satellites.xml into /etc/enigma2 and my channels are there again.

1 west and 5 east are the correct locations.

Yes, I know that. Satellites.xml in 4.2.002 has them in 0,8W and 4,8E.

Apart from a brief period (roughly a week), we have used 0.8W and 4.8E for a very long time. The satellites.xml used for OE-A images is updated regularly and the system one on the receiver is updated when an image update takes place.

There has been no change to the position of those two satellites. If you do not believe me, check the history. https://github.com/oe-alliance/oe-al...satellites.xml

If you want to use an xml file with 1W and 5E, place your xml file in /etc/enigma2/ It will take precedence over the system version and will not be affected by updates.
