    o Alternative kernels based on the more recent linux-2.6.36 kernel (2.6.36.2)
    o The squash filesystem is now compressed using XZ instead of LZMA
    o Updated firmwares in both the initramfs and in the main filesystem
    o xf86-video-nouveau is the new default video driver for Nvidia cards
    o Updated GNU Parted to version 2.3 with patches from Ubuntu-10.10
    o Updated GParted to 0.7.1 (fixes names with dmraid and mount points paths)
    o Updated fsarchiver to 0.6.12 (fixes possible problems to save the rootfs)
    o Updated initramfs software (programs involved in the boot process)
    o Updated aufs filesystem to version 2.1 (another union filesystem)
    o Updated xorg-server to 1.9.3 (graphical server and drivers)
    o Updated Network-Manager programs to new major version 0.8.x
    o Dropped alternative graphical server (Xfbdev) which is not supported
    o Added a 64bit version of memtester (/usr/sbin/memtester-64bit)
    o Added app-misc/tmux (Terminal multiplexer: fork of the GNU Screen project)
    o Option "dodhcp" accepts comma-separated interfaces (eg: "dodhcp=eth0,eth2")


    Download and Writing CD

    SystemRescueCD is very easy to run. Just download the ISO file, write it to a CDROM, and boot it.
