Xtrend 8000 Not pausing or recording

Hi, My Xtrend 8000 has a 250gb hard drive installed. But lately the pause and record feature has stopped working. I think my memory may be full and causing the problems. Can someone please tell me how I can check the memory and how to delete it as well? Or might there be some other fault causing the problems? Many thanks

Have you deleted the recordings out of your trashcan also?

You should see the HDD listed with capacity details. Post a screenshot of it.

I wonder how that would have happened? All used to work fine. If I take the case off how do I identify the hard drive to remount it?
Do you have any idea why the sound isn't working on my HD channels?
    Thanks

Did you change the timeshift path? If so, put it back to the default setting. (The same path is use whether timeshift is started automatically or manually.)

On my Extrend 10000 which I normally put into deep standby the hard drive will "go missing " about once every two months. I usually notice when I get an on screen message saying that the hard drive is full. Thus message occurs because the box is only seeing the small USB stick I have permanently plugged in.

The fix that always works is switching off at the mains for a few minutes and then switching back on. Attempting to re-mount the disk when missing is not an option because the box doesn't believe one is attached to the cables!

My ET10k invariably loses the HD sometime soon after reflashing.
I always power off at the mains for half an hour after upgrading, and the HD then always (touch wood) gets picked up ok.
