Can't extend my cable EPG to 7 days ?

My standard cable EPG works fine, but when I try to extend it to 7 days via the CrossEPGDownloader there are only satellite providers data available, meaning no data is downloaded.
Where do I obtain cable epg data from ?
Everything appears to be biased towards satellite, even the user manual...... this is a cable tuner box too ?

Cross EPG downloader (signal division) does not do cable.
Cross EPG downloader (internet division) does cable. You must update rytec providers, then select virgin uk.

But for XMLTV-import you'd better use the XMLTV-plugin; Cross is good for Open-TV, but not for XMLTV.

The best EPG for UK cable is obtained using the EPGRefresh plugin.

Just to clarify, the epg is acquired while you are tuned to the pvr frequency. EPGrefresh plugin is just a zapper. It doesn't do anything epg wise.

I agree with you though. EPG data from provider is normally better.

Then you have used Cross, while I suggested you to use the XMLTV-importer plugin instead....

Andy never implemented XMLTV in Cross; itt was in Cross before Andy was involved in Cross.
Just try for yourself and see (and see the result of TS) the results: Cross has never been made to do this properly, while the XMLTV-importer works flawless on all boxes.

Last time there were edits to it by others, he mentioned that some of his work in that aspect of CrossEPG downloader had been undone. Maybe you can broach the subject with him and he can either separate Cross to only do OpenTV or he can fix the issue/s you say are present.

I have suggested before to delete the import part from Cross, but that has been denied. So I continou to advice users to use Cross for Open-TV and the XMLTV plugin for the import from internet. Both work perfect.
I use that set-upall the time; only thing is both should not run concurrent.

I have now managed to implement a six day EPG by using a daily zap on a single channel, which is working perfectly ....

Has anyone managed to extend the EPG to seven days instead of six ?
