    Question Does Vix 4 require the latest bootloader?

    Hi,

    Does the new Vix 4, and the new GB drivers it contains, need the latest bootloader? (gigablue_bootloader_gbquadplus_20151104)

    I've currently got an older one installed and don't want to mess with the bootloader unless absolutely necessary.

    I'm currently running Hades 18 and have been holding off from upgrading for a while due to those 'tuner timeout' driver problems. Apparently these have been sorted now so I'm wanting to upgrade.

    Does Vix 4 require the latest bootloader?

    There are newer drivers. Someone posted confirmation that he had no tuner problem with newer drivers.

    I don't know, sorry.

    The manufacturer releases the bootloaders to fix issues and make improvements. When they adjust drivers, they usualy work on the basis that everyone is using the latest bootloaders. There is a possibility you may encounter an issue that they did not. Equally, you may not.
