help with basic settings for Uv+ Zero

    Hi

Got my Uv+ Zero today and I'm trying to get it working

followed the instructions on the easy set up guide provided

I get as far as scanning but the scans return no service found

should I be able to set the Zero as a free to air receiver straight out of the box, without installing all sort of Images, skins, channel lists etc...

You will need an image to work the zero, even if just fta channels. You have either not set the tuner configuration up correctly, autobouquetmaker or you haven't put the sky lead into the back.

Talk is through exactly what you have set up and how. Start with the tuner configuration.

When you ordered your box did specify OpenVix to be installed by supplier ? if so, try these settings.

Menu -> Setup -> Service searching -> AutoBouquetsMaker. then set your providers.
    then
Menu -> Setup -> System -> EPG -> CrossEPG -> OpenTV providers, select Sky UK OpenTV,
    then
Menu -> Setup -> System -> EPG -> CrossEPG - Download now, EPG sorted for your UK requirements.
