    xtrend et1000 or vu solo2

I am looking to upgrade my receiver, I have been looking the two above mentioned receivers but am unsure which to go for. The Vu probably as the best support where as the xtrend you can have extra tuners if required.
Any comments on for or against either receiver would be appreciated

    With Thanks

You are comparing two different leagues

    You should be comparing
    ET1000 vs Duo 2
    ET8000 vs Solo 2

The Xtrends are currently the most economical/versatile ones.

It depends what you mean by support. All manufacturers have their issues.
